Easter capelets are done!

The Easter capelets are done! Both of them. I'm so pleased with myself for having them done with HOURS to spare! This is a first for me. Here's a picture of what they looked like at about noon today:

K's capelet is the lower one. The buttons are not sewed on in this picture. They are merely placed on top of the buttonhole band for effect. A's capelet still has the button band on the needle. I knit the two capelets slightly differently. Both capelets have two increase rows about 2 1/2" and 4" from the neckline. K's capelet has the increases running evenly all the way around to make a circular shape. With A's I concentrated the increases in the shoulder area so the front and back are more flat. I wanted to try to follow the shoulder line a little more closely.

I'll post Easter morning pictures of the girls in all their Easter finery tomorrow or Monday. I can't wait to see the three kids all dressed up. I have lots of fun taking pictures on holidays!

When I downloaded pictures from my camera I found a really cute one of a little leprechaun that visited us on St. Patty's Day:
