So, what's next?

I finished knitting my wrap last night. I'm so relieved to have it finished. I have to wash and block it today. I'll have to get it laid out earlier rather than later because it's a rainy day here and I want to make sure it's dry for its debut tomorrow evening.

My washing machine is fixed too. That means I can wash the new clothes that I'm going to be wearing tomorrow. I don't like the way new clothes feel before they are laundered. I'll take pictures of the finished wrap tomorrow before we go out to dinner. I'm somewhat self conscious about doing this but I'm planning on having DH take pictures of me modeling the wrap. We'll see if those plans come to fruition.

Two days ago when we were sitting at the dinner table I commented that I was almost finished with my wrap and I needed to start thinking about my next project. I asked who wanted me to make something for them. All three kids yelled "Me!" A few days before that, while we were sorting through the winter clothes I came across a cute little hat I made for K. It didn't take long to make. I used an alpaca/wool yarn for the hat and added a cute, fluffy brim. She rips it off her head any time I try to get her to model it. She says it's itchy. She also can't stand the wool poncho I made A many years ago. I'm beginning to think K is sensitive to wool (ya think?!) So I'm on a mission to make her a cotton sweater that she'll love to wear.

To this end I placed an order with Knitpicks. I selected some of K's favorite colors of Shine yarn (Violet, Butter, Orchid and Grass.) I spent a little time yesterday playing with my graphing program and this is what I came up with...

The hearts down the front are supposed to represent the buttons (I already have these!) and the short stripes are supposed to look like a ribbed button band.

J needed a haircut. Summer's coming and he'll be doing some swimming so we decided to get the hair cutter out and buzz him. We made a pitstop midway through the haircut. Here he is with his cool mohawk. The blue tongue is compliments of a blueberry Rita's water ice.

I know that I'm not objective but I think J is an incredibly good looking kid!

Happy anniversary! I can't wait to see the pics of the wrap and your new fancy togs.

Great design for K's sweater, what yarn do you think you'll make it in?

I think he is a good looker too! And so is the sweater which I am sure will adorn the adorable K with just the right style.
