Dear Evil Sock Pal,
I got your comments. I prefer anklets. I don't think I've worn the footlet type since I was a kid (and that was more years ago than I'm going to admit here!) I will confess that I've only ever made one pair of socks for myself and I ended up giving them away because I made the cast on too tight and they weren't comfortable on my legs. I mostly wear commercial socks. I don't pull them up because they don't fit so I wear them slouched around my ankle. The single sock I finished recently (pictured in my last post) is about 3.5" from the top of the cuff to the top of the heel flap. I think that anything from 2.5" - 3" would work great too.
I hope I'm being helpful and not coming across as "fussy". I know some people like having the freedom to create whatever they want with no boundaries and others like more input to help focus their decisions.
You're teasing me with your comments. I would be happily grappling with my decisions about what to make for MY sock pal but you are nudging my curiosity with your messages. I've been searching blogland to see if I can recognize you! Then I realized that I'm not even sure you have a blog! I guess I'll just have to concentrate on knitting my sock pal's socks!
I can't wait to "meet" you in September.
Sincerely,
Lou
