I feel like an expectant father. I've been waiting (im)patiently for word that my sock pals socks have been successfully delivered. According to the lady at the post office they should have been delivered by noon yesterday. No word yet though. I'm leaving early Friday morning to go to Arizona with DH. I'll be pacing until then. If there's no news when I get back on Monday I'll have to figure out what to do.
In the meantime, I have to figure out what knitting I'm going to bring with me on the trip. I will have no children with me so I might actually get some knitting or reading done.
I am starting to compile a mental list of projects I want to work on. I have hesitated writing the list on paper because that might make me feel like it would be okay to start them all. I'm taking the plunge and I'm going to list them here (in no particular order)
- 4 (or maybe more) lace scarves for holiday teacher gifts *
- ballet shrug for K's dancing lessons *
- mittens for K *
- mittens for J
- red/navy/yellow socks for J *
- another Tivoli T for A *
- any of the many projects A selected from the Oct. Knitpicks catalog
- Braids cardigan for me *
- socks for DH *
- sweater for DH *
* indicates that I have suitable yarn in stash for this project.

Have a great trip. No kids, you lucky dog!!
Never to fear, your Sockapal-2-za socks arrived on Tuesday. I've just been too busy to open my mail! The socks are beautiful and so very thoughtful (see my blog for why). Thank you, Lou! Have a great time in Arizona!!
Great blog! I just came back from a short business trip and I got so much knitting done! I actually ENJOYED the hour wait in the airport!! Distraction free knitting is the best! Have fun!
