This scarf started life as a reversible cable scarf. I didn't like how it was coming out, it was too stiff, so I ripped it out and went back to the drawing board. I liked the herringbone stitch pattern in one of the Barbara Walker books so I paired it with another pattern from the book that resembled weaving for the borders. I love the results. I hope DH does when it finally gets cold enough again for him to wear it.
