Okay, some of you may have noticed that I've entered two post in two days. School doesn't start until next week. Are you wondering how I've managed this when I was only able to post approximately one per month all summer? I'll tell you. All three of my children are enjoying their last summer fling at their grandparents' house. They are staying with Grandma and Grandpa for the whole week. This has given me time to do the things I don't normally get to do - like blow dry my hair, shape my eyebrows, clean my bedroom, go out to lunch with my aunt, get reaquainted with DH, etc. I'm having fun but I do miss my kids. I miss their little personalities. I miss seeing their beautiful faces. They make me laugh and they make me proud. I'm going to enjoy this time to myself and I'm going to be very happy when I see them on Saturday.
I managed to get the yellow portion of the Sockapal2za sock yarn dyed yesterday morning. I'm am so much happier with the way it is now. Here are some before and after shots. I have one skein of each now. Which one do you like better?
Here are before and after pictures of the sock in progress:

Your eyebrows! Yaaay. I gaze at mine in sorrow when I think of how nicely shaped they used to be. lol. Well, I do have a great haircut that doesn't take any time to style. I wouldn't want to look too good. :P Good for you (and DH) for having a little time for yourself.
I like the re-dyed yarn, it's much more saturated. Good choice with that one.
I like the re-dyed yarn as well. That is really turning into a nice sock. Such beautiful work!
I think the after is much easier on the eyes.
Wow, you do gorgeous colorwork - reminds me of my favorite New England autumn ramble. Before was a little scarey; after is lovely.
Enjoy your end-of-summer break! And take good care of yourself.
I am so jealous you get to look in the mirror, I haven't done that in years for lack of time and now I'm scared my eyebrows have taken over my face.
The new yarn color is much better. You're absolutely right. Wonderful job so far-love that pattern.
Awesome dye-job! Those colors are so beautiful together. And what a cool sock pattern! Wow!
WOW WOW WOW!!!
The new colours are gorgeous!
Great idea to redye the yarn -- the toned down yellow complements rather than overpowers.
