No Knitting Content

I've been sick. J has been sick. DH has been away. I haven't gotten any knitting done this week. I don't have any knitting content to post. My resolution for this year was to post more often. I made a quiet resolution to myself that I am going to keep my blog more closely focused on my knitting. So, it's January 12. We're not even half way through the first month of the year and I'm going to break that quiet, side resolution. I took an online quiz. Here is my result.

You scored 90% which means you are

a hardcore conservative.

You believe in personal responsibility, limited government, free markets, individual liberty, traditional American values and a strong national defense. Believe the role of government should be to provide people the freedom necessary to pursue their own goals.

I was a little surprised by the final number but the description is pretty accurate for me. Although I have strong feelings about many political issues I am not very outspoken about them.

I just posted my own response:

http://www.guzzlingcakes.com/2007/01/23/heres-a-stupid-meme/

The gist:

This is a stupid meme for the two following reasons:

1. There are really only two opinions (on each end of each debate) which are quite strongly worded and the two in the middle are wishy washy versions of the two extremes (they all begin with things like “I guess”). I am not wishy washy. I have strong opinions. Many of my opinions aren’t represented by the responses so I pick the non-hardcore-conservative one and get pegged as a Liberal.

2. I see myself as socially Liberal and fiscally Conservative. No fiscal questions are represented in the meme. Hence, Liberal.
