Braids Cardigan Swatches

I finished the swatches for the Braids Cardigan I am planning to knit for myself:


Braids Swatches

The yarns are:
1 - Cascade 220 color Olive
2 - Berroco Softwist color Red
3 - Berroco Softwist color Blue
4 - Butterfly Super 10 color Maroon
5 - Berroco Softwist color Ginger

I like the color of the Ginger Softwist the best. I like the drape of the Softwist as well but the yarn is not fun to work with. It splits like the dickens. I really like the way the stitches show up in the Cascade 220. That's the only sample I did with 100% wool. I didn't like the color I swatched in the Cascade though. At this point I think I might have to go with the Cascade (or another basic 100% wool yarn) but find a different color. Maybe I'll hop over to Knitpicks and check out some of their worsted weight wool. Maybe I'll try this yarn instead!
