Knitting Dilemma

So, I've finished knitting the Criss Cross Poncho. I still have to wash it, block it, crochet on the button loops and make and sew on the buttons. But the knitting is done. So, now what do I do while I'm watching TV at night? Should I start the Braids Cardigan from Cabin Fever for which I've been swatching... and swatching? Or should I break open the Alpaca Cloud yarn from Knitpicks that I recently aquired and start a lacey, beaded wrap? And if I start the wrap should I use the Autumn color or Midnight? I spent about an hour today charting up a nice lace pattern for that. What do you think?

I think the wrap, Lou. It is going to be too warm soon to have a lot of wool cardigan sitting in your lap, right? Of course, I might be biased because I myself am planning some beaded knitting soon, and I want to see what you are going to do with the concept. Love your blog, by the way. The girls caplets were great. I might have to knit one like that for my daughter next Easter.

Thanks for your kind words, Jan. I think I am going to knit a wrap. I bought some beads today and some new Bryspun needles. I've got my lace pattern all charted and ready to go. Now, I just need to figure out a way to get the beads into the wrap without having to string them all first!

Yeah for the wrap! Autumn, autumn, autumn, it's beautiful. Also, the midnight looks like it would be frustrating to work with in lace. Can you imagine having to find dropped stitches or the location of a missed decrease in a lace pattern in virtually black yarn? If you do it, you are a brave woman indeed.

For the Braids cardi I vote for the rust color. Can you tell I love those rusty fall colors?

Louise--
I say knit the wrap. Maybe we can work on the Braids Cardigan together in the Fall---?? Just a thought. I have never finished a sweater for myself to date, so it would be nice to have someone to motivate me! (Plus, I'm working on a baby blanket for a fellow church member---so I have to finish that first....)

Take care.
